Toilets aren’t properly “vented” so they don’t flush well and get backed up easily. Typically, the Costa Rican builders will put the vent in the tank itself, rather than in the septic line between the toilet and the septic tank. This makes it so toilets don’t work well and they stink all the time.

There should be no right angles in septic lines. Only 45 degree angles, or straight if possible.

NEVER let them use a lighter or torch to bend a PVC tube so that they can fit it somewhere. It will weaken the material and inevitably break soon after the house is finished.

Windows:

Builders will get a lot of paint on the glass, and for some reason they don’t seem to know the trick of simply using a razor blade to scrape it off.

They may use water that has heavy calcium, to wash your windows, creating a calcium build-up on the glass. This can be removed using a natural product from Blue-Tec (made in Costa Rica).

They are perfect for a business or a private home and offer a lot of building space.
